Psalm 103:11
How great is God's love for all who worship him?
Greater than the distance between heaven and earth!
Outreach and Medical Clinic Feb 10-21, 2012
Dear Team members who went and those who prayed behind the scenes here at home,
Kelly, Bill, Paul, Thomas, Dale, Doug, Ava, Heather, Marcia, Diva, Phyllis, John & Marge,
Dr George & Susie and the Medical Team of 35 wonderful people from 3 countries & 30 walks of life!
This past 12 days have been a whirlwind of work and blessings!
First we want to recognize the work of the Holy Spirit
in all our lives and the life of the church in Mexico.
None of this is possible without His direction in our lives.
All the praise and glory goes to Him who reigns on high!
Thanks for the part you played, praying, building, mechanicing, cleaning,
sanding, painting, tiling, carrying, pushing, shoving, doctoring,
teaching, cooking, feeding, coloring, translating, hugging,
praying more, inviting, encouraging,
learning more Spanish, smiling,
giving hope, sharing your lives,
reflecting Jesus.
Pastor Manuel and Blanca, and the people of Nuevo Nacimiento
loved you for each step you took in your Short-term adventure in Missions.
You are special for being YOU.
Ask God to use:the fixed vehicles, tiled room, painted structures, roofs built, storage room,
hugged people, lessons taught, examples modeled, medicines dispensed,
advice given, and love shown....all for His honor and His glory!
The Good News Club was flooded with people on Sat as more than 250 attended,
and 160 saw the doctors and received meds,
Thanks Drs... George, Harold, Tom, David and Nurse Practitioner for your minds
and hands so dedicated to helping the hurting.
Ask God to continue the healing process.
Pastor Gilberto, Julia, and MariaElena shared God's word during the day,
each received a carry home packet of scripture and an invitation
to return each Sat for Good News Club and also to those with no church,
an invite to be bussed to Nuevo Nacimiento each Weds and Sunday.
Ask God to continue the spiritual healing process begun in those who heard His word.
Thanks to the 35 volunteers who shared, helped, fed, encouraged!
Many were from the Family of God Church -- Thanks Pastor Tab and Ellen!
The 4 trips I made during the 12 days gave me extra praying time, reflection time.
We are so blessed with the struggles of people, events, places and things each month,
and God saw fit to bring many things and people together to make it all click at this time!
As Phyllis and I work our way thru this 20th year, YOU have made Feb 2012 very special!
- leaders and potential leaders seeking training, God's will, confirmation of their roles
- people living, failing, succeeding, stretching, developing, moving on, helping, upholding
- people hurting, rejoicing, dying, recovering, discovering new life,
- people learning to trust JESUS, instead of their work or family, money or friends, or religion
People learning to be leaders and take responsibility for the church God has given them to grow in.
Pray especially for those who were able to attend the Leadership and Empowerment Conference Sat, Sun, & Mon.
Juan and Lidia, Francisco and Veronica, Saulo, Gilberto, Olga, MariaElena, Rafael and Antonieta, Cresencio and Marisela, Carolina, Pedro and Marcia, Andres, Gildardo, Ramona, Juan I., Pastor Manuel and Blanca
God used John and Marge Cosby in a wonderful way over 4 days.
These potential leaders will be the ones to take the message to their own people
as Pastor and Blanca and Gilberto lead from the front.
Be in prayer for Dalila as she marries Gilberto in April
and becomes part of the Team,
blending their talents for God's glory
(she is a capable woman of God, leading youth in her church in Tecate).
You and we will be alongside the work in our prayers.
Pastor Manuel and Blanca celebrate 16 years of service at Nuevo in April,
along with their 37th Wedding Anniversary.
A special thanks to those men who were able to be with the local men
last Thurs nite for Men's Bible Study and intercessory prayer.
God used the time in a special way to set up men to receive instruction at the Conference on the weekend.
Ask God to prepare the hearts of those who will follow His command
to declare their faith publicly and be baptized on Easter Sunday in the Sea of Cortez.
In His service,
Phil and Phyllis
for the NBMM Board of Directors (we can't do this alone!)
We especially thank God for the fine work of Warren Mausolf as he keeps the computers running,
the web site developing and his help daily in many department of the work,
especially in the collection of medical donations for the monthly clinics.
P.S. If God is directing you to become more involved,
here in the States or in Mexico,
write us and lets talk!
There is plenty of room for your talent to be used.
For those of you following special families from your past visits, these notes:
Goyita (83) is still in a coma, we visited and sang, prayed and shared the word with her and caring daughter, Martha.
Ask God to open the hearts of the two adopted daughters (other named Felicia)
and their husbands as they care for this dear saint.
Carmen Flores (68)(Why) dying of cancer, inoperable, pray for her
as she processes the need for a personal relationship with Jesus before going into eternity.
Martin and Lilian, visited by Thomas who knew them several years back when Martin was an active leader in our outreach to Caborca. They are talking about returning to the church
and re-activating their faith after years of chasing money instead of Christ.
Carmina and Miguel Angel, and most of their 8 kids visited the Med Clinic Sat and church
for the first time since their huge family crisis early last year.
Ask God to lead them to repentance and a new life.
Ask God to continue healing Kati (now 15) and protecting her precious baby girl, now 4 months old.
For the many who need regular jobs. Work is still scarce
in Penasco as the economic crisis continues and men are leaving town to find work in other cities.
Penasco continues to receive many deportees from the USA.
Ask that they will become firm followers of Christ and not just seek friendships with Americans we who might help them with their situations. Its so easy for them to take care of immediate crises and ignore the needs of their soul.
